With its stunning location sat on the hill above Uig bay, 5 minutes from the Ferry Port, the Hotel makes a perfect base for exploring North Skye before heading off to the Outer Hebrides, the Highlands and beyond. The Fairy Glen can be found in the hills just behind the Hotel while the Quiraing, Kilt Rock and the Old Man of Stor are an easy drive around the peninsula. The scenery is spectacular and has provided the backdrop for many films including Stardust, Macbeth, Prometheus and most recently Spielberg’s BFG. The village of Uig is home to Uig Pottery and the Isle of Skye Brewery, both of which have shops on site. The Uig Hotel is an old coaching Inn dating back to 1831. Its owned and run by Billy and Anne Harley, joined by a friendly team including dogs Ziggy and Rosie! The Hotel has 11 warm and comfortable bedrooms, many with sea views, while our sister site Uig Lodge has a further 8 all with views of the bay.
