See Glencoe in a new light on this behind-the-scenes Land Rover tour. Join your knowledgeable guide from the National Trust for Scotland Ranger team who care for this famous National Nature Reserve and discover more about the history, wildlife and conservation of this amazing place.
Meet at the Visitor Centre before heading out in our classic 4×4, Land Rover Defender 110. The tour will take you on and off the main road through the Glen, exploring quiet estate tracks including the historic 1780s military road below the towering face of The Three Sisters. You’ll have plenty of stops to hop out and explore your surroundings along the way.
You’ll learn how Glencoe was formed by a super-volcano millions of years ago, how it has changed over time, and what the future holds. Hear about the MacDonalds who once made their homes here Look out for the wildlife which now thrives here and learn how we work to protect it.
With fun, interactive activities to keep the kids occupied at every stop and insightful stories and information for adults, this tour is a great way for the whole family to learn a little more about what makes Glencoe such a special place.

Conditions and further information
Warm layers, a waterproof jacket, and sturdy footwear are highly recommended as conditions are often cold and wet in Glencoe, even in summer.
Please bring any emergency medication you require with you (eg. inhalers, epi-pens).
Sadly, dogs are not allowed (please contact us about guide dogs)
Children under three and those requiring a fixed child seat are not able to take part due to child seat regulations. Children aged under 12 or less than 135cm tall can only travel in the back seat. We do not supply booster seats, so if your child needs one, please bring your own.
Unfortunately, our vehicle is not wheelchair accessible. For accessibility questions, please get in touch with us and we will speak to you about arrangements and alternative experiences we can offer.
Under-18s need to be accompanied by a responsible adult.
We require a minimum of two to be able to run a tour. We reserve the right to cancel the tour if this minimum capacity is not met. Please bear this in mind if you book as an individual.
Our tour may occasionally be subject to a delay in returning to the visitor centre.
Antisocial behaviour is not tolerated and may result in a cancellation of your tour.
