Nairn is a gorgeous fishing town just off the coast in the Scottish Highlands, just 17 miles away from Inverness. Renowned for its long golden beaches and championship golf courses, it’s a popular spot for tourists.
Despite being a small town, Nairn offers an abundance of things to do and with it a decent selection of restaurants and eateries to fill your bellies after a long day of activities.

One One Two Wine Bar

Starting strong we have the One One Two Wine Bar. Here you get to taste some delicious wines from their expansive wine collection, along with some sharing plates. Do you fancy a glass of wine? Or a wine flight? They have over 200 to choose from!
Now onto the food, you have an array of small plates to choose from which have been created with local Scottish produce and focuses on South East Asian and Middle Eastern influences.
Why not try their popular steamed bao buns (with a choice of three fillings: Korean BBQ pulled beef, tempura king prawns, and panko crumbed romano pepper, delicious!) They also have duck croquettes on the menu, pork belly pieces, and the Scottish classic, Haggis, neeps, and tatties!
MNM’s Cafe

The charming little MNM’s Cafe was opened up as a second venture by Meg and Nic after the success of their first. They also have a third cafe in the town of Elgin, showing their popularity and demand for their delicious bakes!
If you want to indulge, you can find bakes such as cookie pies, brownies, cakes, and rocky roads, the list goes on! Sit back with a coffee and enjoy your bake, or buy some gifts to take back home with you.
Since the launch of the business, the girls have built up a following on the popular social media site TikTok and have since expanded to deliver their bakes all over the UK, so if you’re missing the taste after you’re long gone from Nairn, you’ll be able to buy them straight to your door!
Ozzy’s Fine Dining Restaurant

If you’re looking for the best dining experience in Nairn, look no further. Ozzy the owner began his cooking career on the streets of Kurdistan and then moved onto Baghdad where he began specializing in Iraqi cuisine. Ozzy then moved to the Scottish Highlands and has been cooking here ever since, even introducing Scottish influence into his dishes.
Ozzy has two specialist dishes with the first being a mixed biryani and the second a Mediterranean Barbeque. You can find other items on his menu including steak, fish and chips, or a Kurdish-style duck confit. If you find yourself here on a Sunday, you can enjoy a traditional Sunday roast too.
Ozzy’s place has exceptional reviews with people noting not only the food being fantastic but the atmosphere too. He is very proud of his restaurant which you’ll notice shines through in the brilliant service, you may even see Ozzy floating around as he still loves to cook his dishes for the restaurant diners.
Boath House

This stunning Boath House mansion is 400 years old and not something to be missed, whether you stay there or dine there. For food, you can choose from the ‘Garden Cafe’ for a lunchtime meal or if you’re looking for an evening dining experience you can go to their ‘Dining Room’.
Boath House has a garden where it grows its own fresh produce and you’ll see this reflected in their menus which change on a daily basis to reflect what’s fresh and seasonal.
If you’re thinking of going to the Dining Room for an evening meal, you can order a seasonal set menu or you can indulge and go for their seasonal experience menu, which currently has items such as beefsteak, wild roe deer, and scallops to try.
