Tobermory Harbour

It’s the picture-perfect postcard of Mull. You wouldn’t head here without taking a stroll and exploring the delightful little harbour in Tobermory.
Colourful houses line the water’s edge and the crystal clear waters reflect back the vibrancy of this small town.
Take a leisurely stroll along the harbour to soak up the island charm, watch fishermen with their catch of the day, and visit the numerous independent shops in the area selling a variation of goods from handmade Hebridean crafts to freshly caught seafood.
Head closer to the edge of the pier for a closer look of the boats, snap some photos, and if you’re lucky, spot seals or dolphins poking out of the water!
Tobermory Distillery

One of Scotland’s oldest distilleries, Tobermory Distillery was established back in 1798 and produced two distinctive whiskies:
- Tobermory
- Ledaig
Join a guided tour to learn about the artisanal process that goes behind creating these fine whiskies, explore the history of how the distillery came to be, and obviously, sample some of the single malts on offer.
Just try not to give into temptation and spend all of your money at the on-site gift shop!
Wildlife Tours

The Isle of Mull is sometimes referred to as “Eagle Island” such is its famed thriving population of white-tailed sea eagles.
Tobermory often serves as a starting point for wildlife tours within the area, offering visitors the chance to see these birds, along with golden eagles and otters, seals and dolphins in the waters.
Check out Sealife Surveys or Turus Mara for extraordinary boat trips that cover the coastline and wider waters.
Sea Life Mull meanwhile specialises in whale watching which can be spotted in these waters during summer months, along with porpoises and basking sharks.
Aros Park

Just a short stroll from Tobermory town lies Aros Park, a lovely woodland area perfect for families, walkers and people looking to relax when the weather permits.
The park shows off the most incredible views over Tobermory Bay and makes for a peaceful spot away from those noisy fishermen down in the harbour!

Calgary Bay

A short drive from Tobermory is Calgary Bay, often lauded as one of the most beautiful beaches in all of Mull.

Mull Museum Tobermory

The history of this island is perfectly encapsulated at Mull Museum.
It’s a small museum that has grown over the years and contains extensive archives that document the history of Mull as well as an objects collection.
The museum is entirely staffed by volunteers and whilst entry is free, the museum is run entirely on donations.
Make sure to check opening times before visiting as the museum is sometimes closed over the winter.
