Calling all seafood lovers. Given its coastal location, it’s perhaps no surprise that Kyle offers great seafood. To demonstrate just how good the seafood is around here, look no further than Fisherman’s Kitchen.
Fisherman’s Kitchen’s regulars rave about the exceptional Cullen skink, sauteed scallops and monkfish scampi. This is an informal eatery that celebrates the wealth of the ocean.
Warm and friendly, generous portions and deep flavours. Fisherman’s Kitchen also boasts a fish counter, showcasing fresh catches ready for you to take back to your digs to recreate the greatest flavours on offer here.

Castle Moil Restaurant

Just across the water in Kyleakin, Castle Moil boasts stunning views of the Skye Bridge. This is a simple restaurant that blends warming pub vibes with no-nonsense hearty meals.
Crowd pleasers at Castle Moil include fish and chips, traditional haggis and for sweet lovers: decadent chocolate cake.
Castle Moil Restaurant is a great spot after a long day of exploring – just make sure you can get back across the bridge afterwards!

The Lighthouse Cafe

A gem within Kyle of Lochalsh, the Lighthouse Café shows off excellent coffee, homemade cakes and general friendly vibes.
The Lighthouse Café is a non-profit business where it supports local charities. If that’s not justification for treating yourself to the sweet treats here, we’re not sure what is!
Lovely lattes, terrific toasties and spectacular scones. The Lighthouse Café is an establishment doing great things and is certainly worth a visit when in Kyle.

Pizza Mia

Look, sometimes you just want a pizza! It won’t surprise you that Pizza Mia offers….well, pizza. These aren’t just pizzas though, these are Pizza Mia Pizzas!
Generously loaded pizzas and mouth-watering meatball sub sandwiches, Pizza Mia is a takeaway spot popular with locals and tourists alike.
Their dough is stretched by hand and the great toppings make for a great pizza. Top tip: sometimes there’s a line here so it might be worthwhile to call ahead for a pickup!

King Haakon Bar

For a great taste of the Highlands, head back across the bridge to Skye again to King Haakon Bar in Kyleakin.
This is a delightful venue that offers more than standard pub fare. Popular dishes include:
- Grilled langoustines
- Fish pie
- Sticky toffee pudding
